Area and 3D Text

Profile area

With this option you can define the area that should have texts. We can enter the interval manually or provide it interactively on the screen with Point area.... Point and click the left mouse button to register profile start and profile end (see message field).

This is especially useful together with the use of 3D texts since these require a lot of PC resources.

3D display

We can choose to draw texts in 3D display. Furthermore, we can set the angle of the text relative to the horizontal plane, as well as the height above the center line (vertical curvature). The 3D texts will also be rendered in 3D display (except for calculated shadow). The material type for the text can be changed in the properties tab.

3D display of texts makes it easier to orient ourselves in a 3D render model, and especially in tunnels this is a useful function.
