Insert Cross Sections¶
Use this dialog to insert cross sections on a sheet.
Where do I find the dialog?¶
On the toolbar for cross sections in presentation drawing, select the icon Insert cross sections...
In the Start profile field we enter the profile number for the first profile we want to draw on the sheet.
Standard Profile interval is 0. This means that all cross sections in the SFI file are included. We can specify a profile interval different from the interval we used during profile generation. If we have for example generated profiles for every tenth meter, but want to show profiles for every twentieth meter, we write 20 in the interval field.
A sheet has a given space for profiles. We can control Number of profiles per page. Default value 0 means that the program fills out as many as possible. Settings that affect this are set in the Cross section setup dialog.
With the options Page offset and Height offset we can move the insertion point for the cross sections.
Warning
Old files, where the MO command has been used to move the insertion point, must be corrected manually by specifying a Height offset in this dialog.
In many cases the profiles have varying width. This can seem a bit "messy" if you have said you want to have a grid. With the option Fixed window width all profiles will get the same width on the grid window.
How to print the cross sections?¶
When plotting we can print one page at a time.
Procedure
- Select First page and click OK
- Select File - Print
- Double-click on the cross sections and you will get the dialog again
- Select Next page and click OK
- Select File - Print
- Continue this way until all profiles are printed
Alternatively we can use the Print all... button. This function creates a plot file that contains all cross section sheets.
