Line Definition Annotation¶
Use this dialog for profile marking and text annotation of lines in SFI models.
Where do I find the dialog?¶
On the toolbar in terrain model drawing, select the icon Line definition annotation...
The function provides the following command in QE (command file list):
LineAnnotation (*.sfi)
Info
The command is not intended to be inserted in the drawing more than once for each SFI file. Double-click on the command in the list or on the screen to change the settings.
Try out the different options in the dialog. The text annotation is updated according to new settings as soon as you click OK in the dialog.
Text annotation of curve points¶
For text annotation of curve points, you can choose between four annotations, one circle or two circles, with and without text.
Text annotation of profile numbers and height¶
Secondary distance for profile marking is widely used in VA design. This is half the width of the primary marking, and profile numbers are not written for these.

Line definition annotation
Profile heights only apply if the SFI model also has a vertical curvature.

Text annotation of radii¶
For text annotation of radii, you have two options for text rotation: along the center line and normal to the center line.
For normal positioning, you can also specify distance to the center line.
Text annotation of SFI name¶
With this option you get annotation of the filename of the SFI model.
How to change text heights?¶
Text heights for curve points, profile numbers, radius and SFI name can be set for the individual SFI model directly in the dialog.
Standard text heights are defined in the Road body: Colors and text heights dialog. These are used if the value - is entered for text heights in the dialog.
You can find the Road body: Colors and text heights dialog by selecting the Gemini Terrain Settings... icon on the toolbar and then Project presentation.
